Governor Strickland says he won't allow beer and wine to be sold at the Ohio State Fair this summer. Keith Dailey is his spokesman.
Members of the Ohio Expositions Commission, the board that operates the Ohio State Fair, wanted to allow beer and wine to be sold at the fair. But Dailey says in the end, Strickland was not convinced that could be done while maintaining a family atmosphere.
The expositions commission had proposed ideas of having a beer and wine garden, featuring Ohio beer and wines in the food pavilion and alcohol sales at adult oriented concerts. |
