Order Online : "The State of Ohio"
This week on "The State of Ohio": State lawmakers consider what they can do in the wake of the horrible and yet miraculous escape story out of Cleveland involving three women held prisoner in a house for a decade. Schools around the state cancel classes because of weather, but for once it's not snow.
By Ann Thompson - August 23, 2007
It's so hot in some schools around the state that kids are getting the day off. Cincinnati public schools spokeswoman Janet Walsh says she believes it would be hard for students to think. The district cancelled classes today and tomorrow.

Many other districts without air conditioning are open, but are dismissing students two hours early. Walsh says down the road, canceling classes in the Cincinnati public school district will be a non-issue. In four years, all schools will be air conditioned.
