For several years now, Ohio has had an "amber alert" system to get out the word when children go missing. Now, state legislators are working on setting up a similar system to get out the word when elderly Ohioans go missing. Sen. John Carey is sponsoring the measure.
The idea of setting up a statewide alert system for missing senior citizens has just been approved by the Ohio Senate on a vote of 30-0. Now, the plan moves to the Ohio House. |
