Colorful and controversial ex-congressman and ex-convict plans another run for office.
By Karen Kasler - January 8, 2010
A former congressman from the Youngstown area recently released from federal prison is leaving little doubt that he will try another run for office. Jim Traficant says he's looking at running in the 6th and 17th districts in northeast Ohio, both held by Democrats.

Traficant says he hasn't raised any money for this race, but he says he is - quoting him here - "asking everybody to concede". Traficant served seven years in prison for racketeering, bribery and tax evasion, but continues to maintain that he was framed. You can hear more from Jim Traficant this weekend on "The State of Ohio", on PBS stations statewide.
