Thousands of Ohioans who don't have broadband may soon be online with help from new grant.

Gov. Ted Strickland says some areas of Ohio will benefit from a nearly $12 million federal grant that's being provided to a non profit group. Strickland's spokeswoman Amanda Wurst says this group will work to help more than 14,000 Ohioans in Cleveland, Akron and Appalachia who are not now connected to the internet.

The group benefiting from this grant will work with universities and public libraries to make the internet available to more Ohioans.
