The Ohio death row inmate who had his execution delayed after he took a drug overdose is now out of the hospital in Youngstown. The new execution date for Lawrence Reynolds Jr. remains on the calendar. Reynolds was found unconscious in his prison cell late Sunday night, but Ohio Corrections Department spokeswoman Julie Walburn told Ohio Public Radio's Bill Cohen that he's recovered.
Reynolds was convicted of the 1994 rape and murder of a neighbor. He was supposed to be given a lethal injection today, but after the overdose incident, Governor Ted Strickland ordered a one week delay in the execution.
