New data shows more than half of all violent crimes are committed by a very small numbers of offenders. Lawmakers are now working to target that tiny group. She calls it "Ohio's Arlington National Cemetery for the Mentally Ill". And Ohio Department of Mental Health Director Sandra Stephenson, along with Ohio First Lady Frances Strickland, were on hand for a Memorial Day Service today at one of the old Athens Mental Hospital cemeteries on the Ridges. As Cheri Russo from Ohio Public Radio station WOUB reports, while wreaths were laid on two graves during the service, only one was a war veteran - but both were involved in tremendous battles during their life times. |
