Governor announces details of what could be the largest solar project in the US.
By Jo Ingles - October 5, 2010
Gov. Ted Strickland says Ohio has landed a $250 million solar farm that will be built near Zanesville.

Strickland says three hundred jobs will be provided at the peak of the construction and more than 300 permanent construction jobs will come about as a result of the project. Strickland credits an energy bill passed by lawmakers in 2008 for being the catalyst for this investment by several major investors. Strickland says if the project were finished today, it would be the largest solar project in the country.
