Watch This Week's "The State of Ohio" Online
Order Online : "The State of Ohio"
This week on "The State of Ohio": State lawmakers consider what they can do in the wake of the horrible and yet miraculous escape story out of Cleveland involving three women held prisoner in a house for a decade. New data shows more than half of all violent crimes are committed by a very small numbers of offenders. Lawmakers are now working to target that tiny group. And more thoughts on legislation that would dramatically change rules on unions in Ohio.

Head of Ohio's labor unions angered by Senate vote on collective bargaining.
By Karen Kasler - March 2, 2011
The head of the Ohio AFL-CIO was predictably unhappy about the vote in the Senate to pass the controversial bill on collective bargaining. TIm Burga says the vote shows Republican Senators weren't listening to the thousands of Ohioans who turned out at the Statehouse for protests over the last few weeks - and the many more who didn't, but still oppose the bill.

Burga won't speculate on the possibility of a ballot issue if the bill passes, but does say that court challenges are likely if the bill becomes law.
