Gov. John Kasich has signed a bill into law that will require the state Auditor to conduct four performance audits of state agencies each year. These are the audits that look for ways to help the agency save money, not the audits that are currently done that track down potential wrongdoing in an agency. When asked whether he’s concerned that the performance audits could become a tool for political retribution, Kasich responds this way. |
