For the first time since work stopped on Phase One of the Cleveland Casino project, Rock Ohio Caesars owner Dan Gilbert spoke about the impasse with the state. Gilbert, while addressing reporters about the Cavaliers winning the top NBA draft choice last night, said he was disappointed with the state’s stand. But Gilbert says he still feels that the casino operators and Gov. John Kasich will have the problems worked out in a few weeks and get construction workers back on the job. |

| The former Higbee’s building will house the first phase of the Cleveland Casino - with a larger structure currently planned for a site across Huron Road from Tower City. Gilbert’s company is also building a Casino in Cincinnati. |
