Wisconsin just went through a bitter election fight over collective bargaining for public employees…a fight that Ohio is about to go through over the same issue. Wisconsin voters have just decided to barely keep control of their state senate in Republican hands, even though labor unions spent millions, pushing to recall incumbent GOP lawmakers and shift control to Democrats. Here in Ohio, the November election features a more direct fight, as voters will decide the fate of the new collective bargaining law itself. Does the Wisconsin vote carry any meaning for Ohio's? That’s the question Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen poses in this report. |
