Record number of companies getting state tax breaks - but some call it corporate welfare.

The state of Ohio has approved a record number of tax breaks to companies to keep from moving or just to expand and create more jobs. Altogether, 30 Ohio companies have received tax breaks totaling around $60 million. Eight of those are in Northeast Ohio, and will share nearly $50 million in state incentives. Gov. Kasich was at the Avon Lake Ford plant today to announce a tax incentive package that will keep it running well into the future. Kevin Niedermier of member station WKSU takes a look at the give and take Kasich hopes will help turn Ohio around, and the criticism he’s getting from Democrats.
