President Barack Obama used a Northeast Ohio visit today to announce he’s bypassing Republicans who’ve blocked his pick for consumer financial protection chief. Following a six-month delay in confirming former Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray to the new position, Mr. Obama appointed him without the Senate’s approval.
