Ohio’s official unemployment rate has dropped again. It’s not a big drop, but officials say it’s still an encouraging sign. The rate for February is 7.6%, down from the 7.7% in January. Ben Johnson tracks the numbers at the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, and he puts the latest figures in context, in an interview with Ohio Public Radio’s Bill Cohen.
He says another 4,000 Ohioans got off the unemployment rolls last month. That leaves 443,000 still without a job. |
