| Attorney General sues BP for stock losses by pension funds after oil spill. |

When that BP oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico exploded and spilled fuel, the value of BP stock dropped and the value of the investments held by four of Ohio’s pension funds dropped with it. Now, Ohio’s attorney general is charging that BP’s safety policies were negligent, so the company should reimburse Ohio for its stock losses. Attorney General Mike DeWine is suing BP in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. In an interview, he talked about the new lawsuit with statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen. |
