Gov. John Kasich praised utility workers for their progress in bringing hundreds of thousands of Ohioans without power back on line. He met with a few AEP crews in northeast Columbus to thank them for their work. And he also had praise for President Obama in how he handled Ohio’s request for emergency money after the weekend’s storms. |

| Kasich also says he will decide soon if the 200 Ohio National Guard members who were called to active duty will stand down, but if they are, the governor says they could still be called back if needed. The soldiers and airmen checked on people in Franklin and Montgomery counties. |
