Key state leaders continue to grapple with questions raised last November when controversial ads about Ohio's Supreme Court race were aired on television stations throughout the state with money from anonymous donors.
Since these groups were not working on behalf of the candidate's official campaigns, they were not required to adhere to Ohio's elections laws.
This has left many people calling for a new law to require any group mentioning the name of a candidate in its advertising to disclose the names of its donors. Ohio Public Radio's Jo Ingles reports. |
