| Figures Show New Crime Victims Fund Is Working. |

It's been nine months since the state made major changes to the fund that gives money to people who fall victim to violent crime in Ohio. The attorney general's office has been handling that fund in recent months trying to streamline the system and make it more user friendly.
Now the Attorney General's office is releasing a review of that program. Spokesman Joe Case says it shows the goals are being achieved. In an interview with Ohio Public Radio's Jo Ingles, Case explains the progress the program has made during the past year. |

| Case credits the legislature and the Ohio Supreme Court for allowing the administration of the program to be transferred to the Attorney General's office. Because that office often deals with victims of crime, Case says it makes it easier for them to access the program. |
