A recent Ohio Division of Wildlife survey of bald eagles in Ohio shows record numbers of the birds are wintering in the buckeye state. In an interview with Ohio Public Radio's Jo Ingles, the agency's Melissa Hathaway explains there are more bald eagles now than in recent history. |

| The Ohio Divison of Wildlife's Melissa Hathaway says most of the bald eagles can be found in the northwest portion of the state, along Lake Erie. But she says the population is increasing throughout Ohio. Hathaway credits the state's bald eagle restoration program for much of the comeback. |
