The Ohio Democratic Party has a new leader. The head of the Franklin County Republican party, Denny White, has been tapped to fill that post. In fact, he'll work both jobs until after the November election. White beat out Dennis Lieberman, a Dayton area trial attorney who's serving as head of the Montgomery County Democratic party. White is a favorite of organized labor. There's been a lot of dissension among the various groups that make up the rank and file of the party. In an interview with Ohio Public Radio's Jo Ingles, White refuses to say who's right and who's wrong. |

| It's a little ironic that newly elected Ohio Democratic party chair Denny White used to be a republican. White says he learned a lot during the few years he spent as a member of the G.O.P. One thing he says he learned is that the republicans are quicker to use technology to their benefit. White says democrats need to invest in new technology for their party, and he says that's something he plans to do as head of the party. |
