Legislators May Pass Plan to Boost Ohio's Economy.

Now that Ohio's economy is slowing down and LTV Steel is laying off thousands of workers, state legislators are trying to figure out how to give the economy a shot in the arm. The new Speaker of the Ohio House, Larry Householder, talked about the effort with Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen and other reporters. Householder represents a district in southeastern Ohio. The Appalachian region is one of the state's most economically- depressed areas.
