35-thousand families in six Ohio counties now have a new, quicker and cheaper way to get their child support payments. Joe Pilat with the state Job and Family Services Department says the "e-QuickPay" program was targeted toward child support recipients who don't have bank accounts. Pilat says the program will save the state 2 million dollars a year in postage. And he says it will save money for child support recipients who were paying high fees at check-cashing centers. The cards went out to people in Clermont, Fairfield, Franklin, Greene, Holmes and Richland counties this past weekend. |
