A popular tax incentive that Ohio has been offering to businesses to get them to locate and expand in the buckeye state has been ruled unconstitutional. A federal appeals court says Ohio’s investment tax credit cannot be offered to companies. In an interview with Ohio Public Radio’s Jo Ingles, Ohio Development Director Bruce Johnson explains what this ruling means for the future of Ohio. Johnson says this ruling will affect other states too. This tax incentive has been offered to many businesses throughout Ohio, including the Jeep Liberty Plant near Toledo which employees about 4 thousand workers. |
