Homeland Security Secretary says terrorists can't be treated like common criminals.

Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge says he doesn't want to get involved in the presidential campaign. But at a conference in Columbus today, Ridge did respond to Sen. John Kerry's commentary in a recent magazine, in which he wrote that he hoped terrorism could be reduced to a "nuisance" like prostitution or gambling. Ridge says terrorists shouldn't be treated like regular criminals. Ridge was in Columbus to speak to an annual conference of law enforcement professionals.
