Order Online : "The State of Ohio"
This week on "The State of Ohio": State lawmakers consider what they can do in the wake of the horrible and yet miraculous escape story out of Cleveland involving three women held prisoner in a house for a decade. New data shows more than half of all violent crimes are committed by a very small numbers of offenders. Lawmakers are now working to target that tiny group. And more thoughts on legislation that would dramatically change rules on unions in Ohio.

Supreme Court justice explains why he had $18,000 in cash stolen from his car.
By Karen Kasler - February 24, 2005
Ohio Supreme Court Justice Terrence O'Donnell calls it, in his words, "a dumb and costly mistake"....leaving 18-thousand dollars in cash in his car while he attended an awards dinner in Cleveland last week. The rear window of the car was smashed, and the cash and a briefcase were stolen. O'Donnell talked about it with Ohio Public Radio's Karen Kasler. O'Donnell was in Cleveland to accept an award from his alma mater, St. Edward High School. He says it's unfortunate that he and fellow Justice Alice Robie Resnick have made news in the last few weeks, but he says he was a victim of a crime. Resnick, who beat O'Donnell when they ran for the same Supreme Court seat in 2000, pleaded guilty to drunk driving earlier this month.
