It’s not often you see a black bear in Ohio, but state wildlife officials say their numbers in the Buckeye State are increasing. In an interview with Ohio Public Radio’s Jo Ingles, the Ohio division of Wildlife’s Dan Huss explains Ohioans don’t have to go to Tennessee to see black bear these days. Since researchers rely partly on reports of bear sightings, Ohio residents who see black bear are urged to call the division to help track the animal’s population in the Buckeye State. |
