Governor Taft’s chief policy advisor has given a deposition in the case against her boss. The man who brought the suit against Taft, Democratic State Senator Mark Dann, says the deposition supports his case. Dann says Taft’s aide, Kate Bartter, has supplied information in that deposition that indicates the records in question are not protected under executive privilege as Taft insists. Dann says it’s now clear from Bartter’s deposition that the Governor will need to be deposed in this case. And Dann says his attorney will the Ohio Supreme Court to order Taft to give a deposition in this case. Last week, Taft did release many of the documents Dann is seeking through the legal proceedings. But Dann says many of those documents contain text that has been blacked out and some documents in question are missing all together. |
