Ohio Governor Bob Taft says the state is going to change the way it’s dealing with the emerald ash borer. Taft’s spokesman Mark Rickel says the state didn’t receive the money it needs to continue cutting down trees throughout the state that are infested with the deadly bug. The state will now focus on efforts to make sure the pest doesn’t spread. Rickel says the eradication efforts will be scaled down to two northwest Ohio counties. |
