QuitLine operators expect smoking ban to puff up numbers of smokers trying to quit.
By Bill Cohen - February 7, 2007
Officials with a popular smoking cessation program operated by the state say the number of Ohioans wanting to quit is increasing. And Beth Sheeber of the Ohio Tobacco Prevention QuitLine expects that number will grow even higher this spring when the state begins to levy penalties. In an interview with Ohio Public Radio's Jo Ingles, Sheeber explains QuitLine officials are looking at making some changes to their program in order to accommodate the special needs of Ohioans.

The Ohio Tobacco Prevention Foundation believes some smokers might be better off if they are referred to local programs that they can attend in person.
