Cleveland-based bank getting new scrutiny in wake of disasters in the financial industry.

A tough year is continuing for Cleveland-based National City Bank, one of the institutions hardest hit by rising mortgage defaults. National City's stock briefly plummeted almost 30 percent Monday and the bank suspended trading long enough to reassure stockholders. Still, a roiling market marked by the federal takeover of a California bank and fears for the health of 2 government-sponsored mortgage giants has investors watching and waiting. Kymberli Hagelberg from member station WCPN in Cleveland has this report on the mood of Northeast Ohio investors.
