What's here today could be gone tomorrow. A spokeswoman for the Ohio Attorney General's office says it's a good idea to keep that old adage in mind when purchasing gift cards this holiday season. Mani Southammavong says when businesses go bankrupt, gift card holders can find themselves holding the bag.
Southammavong says consumers who find they've lost money on gift cards or other transactions due to businesses closing or going bankrupt can file complaints with the AG's office. |
