| Carney says the federal money backing the price break for health insurance for laid-off Ohio workers should last nine months. Earlier this week, it appeared that the new federal subsidy would not kick in until around the start of summer, but now, lawmakers are trying to round up enough votes to make it effect immediately upon passage, perhaps Wednesday. Republicans had earlier balked at providing enough votes to accomplish that, but now, GOP legislative leaders say they want to try. |
