Lawrence Witmer just received a grant of $180,000 from the National Science Foundation. Lawrence Witmer (:09) Lawrence Witmer (:12) Witmer's often seen in TV talking about prehistoric anatomy. He's received seven NSF grants and says that he will concentrate on the question of how birds evolved from dinosaurs. Witmer's lab was among the first to apply CT scanning and computer visualization to paleontological research.
