A special legislative committee has approved about $1.5 million in funding for the state commerce department to enforce minimum wage, prevailing wage, and child labor laws. Democratic State Senator Sue Morano says she's happy about that but she says more needs to be done to enforce wage standards in Ohio. In an interview with Ohio Public Radio's Jo Ingles, Morano explains she's hoping a bill she's introduced will get a hearing soon.
Morano says congress also needs to address the issue. |
