Hospitals feel they will win and lose in Kasich's proposed budget.

Ohio’s hospitals will be losing $478 million over the next two years under Gov. Kasich’s newly proposed two-year budget. Tiffany Himmelreich of the Ohio Hospital Association says there are several areas affected by reduction of payments to hospitals.


Himmelreich says her group is pleased that Kasich has included the group’s proposal in his budget that would allow the state to bring one point two billion dollars of additional federal dollars into the state by extending what’s known as the hospital franchise fee.
