Democratic lawmaker wants to change the way watchdog over executive branch is selected.

Ohio’s Inspector General is supposed to serve as a watchdog against corruption in the executive branch of state governor. The I.G. investigates tips about alleged wrong-doing by state employees , and sometimes asks prosecutors to consider criminal charges. The current inspector general, though, is being criticized himself..and that’s bringing calls for a change in the way the I.G. is appointed. Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen reports.
