There’s a new law in Ohio designed to help more first time, low income homebuyers get into their first homes. Republican representative Michelle Schneider says the agency that offers state assisted low interest home loans has become a quasi- public- private agency in order to have more money to offer loans. Governor Bob Taft signed the bill into law earlier this week. Advocates for low income housing are pleased with the new plan because it will reduce administrative costs that have cut into the amount the state can loan first time homebuyers. |
