Governor says he will vote against four election-related issues on November ballot.
By Jo Ingles - September 21, 2005
When Ohioans go to the polls this fall, they’ll have the chance to vote on five issues. Governor Bob Taft is a strong supporter of the first one that would provide more money for universities and job initiatives. But he says he’s against the other issues that would reform elections, campaign finances, and drawing boundary lines for legislative districts. People who support the four issues Taft dislikes say they will make government more accountable to taxpayers.
