Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor is Thinking About Running for Governor in 2018

A political action committee has been organized for Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor. Ohio Public Radio’s Jo Ingles reports.

The super pac is called Onward Ohio and Taylor says her friends organized it to help her continue to get her message out about what she’s doing to improve Ohio’s economic climate. But it can also help her if she decides to seek higher office.

“I am seriously considering running for Governor in 2018.”

Taylor says the pac will allow her to continue to focus on things like tax cuts and regulatory reform. Secretary of State Jon Husted and Attorney General Mike DeWine are also thought to be possible Republican gubernatorial candidates in 2016.
