Republican gubernatorial candidate Jim Renacci is choosing Cincinnati Council Member Amy Murray to be his running mate. The congressman from northeast Ohio told a gathering of supporters this morning at a downtown Cincinnati hotel he and Murray are political outsiders with a business background.
Renacci is an outspoken advocate for President Trump and has many veterans of Trump's Ohio campaign on his staff. Murray has spoken little about Trump and is considered part of the local Republican party establishment, and said she brings geographic balance to the ticket.

Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor and Attorney General Mike DeWine are also running - Secretary of State Jon Husted had been running but recently joined DeWine as his running mate.
