Ohio’s senior US Senator is on the short list of possible running mates for Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton. And he says he doesn't want to be.

Sen. Sherrod Brown has said over and over that he doesn’t want to be VP. He said it again after being asked whether he was being vetted as a possible running mate.

“I don’t want it. I love what I’m doing. I don’t have any interest and I don’t think she’ll ask me.”

Brown admitted that, given his support from the liberal wing of the party and his roots in the key state of Ohio, it makes sense for Hillary Clinton to be considering him for the slot, but he said it would make sense for her to be looking at five or six others too. They reportedly include Virginia Senators Tim Kaine and Mark Warner and former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick.
